Each season we like to pit our distinguished Herts Jazz Patron, Art Themen, against an up and coming outstanding young musician to perform a selection of standards they mutually prefer. This time I’ve invited Alex Clarke, an alto player I originally met at Birmingham Conservatoire and has just won the “Rising Star” category in the British Jazz Awards. Definitely one to watch out for!
